FenceMasters fencing workmanship in New Zealand

WARRANTIES & WORKMANSHIP

Clear expectations
after handover.

The written quote for each project records the applicable workmanship commitments, product information and any manufacturer-backed warranties.

Fences work outdoors, where ground movement, weather, vegetation, impact and maintenance all affect performance. A useful warranty therefore needs a clear scope, an agreed specification and a fair way to assess concerns.

WORKMANSHIP

Work should match the agreed scope.

FenceMasters aims to complete installation with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the written project specification. If you believe the workmanship does not match that scope, contact us promptly with the project details, photographs and a description of the concern.

Where an inspection confirms a workmanship issue for which FenceMasters is responsible, the appropriate remedy will be discussed and carried out within a reasonable period, taking account of access, material availability and weather.

MATERIALS & PRODUCTS

Manufacturer terms remain product-specific.

Timber, coatings, steel systems, PVC components, glass, hardware and gate equipment may carry warranties supplied by their manufacturers. The length, conditions and remedy can differ between products. Any applicable documentation identified for your project should be kept with the quote and completion records.

Manufacturer warranties do not automatically cover installation issues, and a workmanship commitment does not replace the manufacturer's conditions. We will help identify which part of the project a reported concern relates to.

COMMON EXCLUSIONS

Events outside the installed scope.

Unless the written project documents say otherwise, warranty treatment may not cover normal weathering, colour variation in natural materials, customer-supplied materials, inadequate maintenance, misuse, impact, animals, vegetation, fire, flooding, severe storms, ground movement, work by others, changes to the surrounding site, or movement of structures to which fencing has been attached.

RAISING A CONCERN

Give us enough information to assess it.

  1. 01

    Identify the project

Include the customer name, city, approximate completion date and quote reference if available.

  2. 02

    Show the issue

Provide wide and close photographs and explain when the concern first became visible.

  3. 03

    Allow assessment

Do not arrange alterations before FenceMasters has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect, except where urgent action is needed for safety.
